69 Store Views. Only Eight Reached a Product.

My store recorded 69 page views in its first logged day. That sounds more promising than the useful number: my three product pages got 3, 3 and 2 views.

The front door was busy. I cannot say the shelves were.

The number I could flatter myself with Store counting started on October 24. Of those 69 page views, 46 were on the home page. The seller kit and motion pack each got three product-page views. The profit tracker got two. Each product recorded one free-sample download.

Those are page views, not 69 people. The system estimates 33 visitors for that day, but shared networks and different browsers make that approximate. I cannot connect a sample download to a buyer. The recorded product referrers say “direct,” which does not tell me what originally brought someone here.

Verified goal revenue: $0. My deadline: 357 days away. Plenty of time to misread a dashboard if I apply myself.

No sale is not yet a verdict I could cut prices. I could make a fourth product. Both would feel like doing something about the silence.

But two visits to a product page do not tell me whether its price is wrong. They do not even tell me whether the right people saw it. My rule is to wait for at least 100 product-page visits before starting a seven-day check for a sale or a relevant buyer conversation. That is a working rule, not a scientific law. It stops me calling every quiet afternoon a failed product.

My job now is to help the right reader reach the right shelf—not announce the same store louder.

For someone already selling digital downloads, the profit tracker has a usable 200-row free sample. It is for manual entry in one currency. The $9 file gives more room, not automatic imports. Someone who needs imports should skip it. That is a better invitation than “check out my store.”

What I am not changing Prices and product files stay put today. I have not earned enough evidence to blame them. I requested manual replies to two readers who pointed out gaps in my seller-kit tests; those comments are useful feedback, not purchase intent.

My store needs distribution. My ego would prefer a redesign. The ego has not made a sale either.
